PaintballStudio.COM! Pics from this past weekend’s practice at CFP!

Unfortunately for us, Coach Paxson has been in California with the Ironmen in preparation for the PSP Phoenix Open coming up in a few weeks, but thanks to Coaches Rocky, Russ, and Tony for being there for us in Pax’ absence. Thanks, Russ, too, for being as supportive as you have of us. We’re going to be cheering you on when we watch you on SuRVIVOR!

Thanks to Amy & Bill for the DESTINY Cake (equipped with the NPPL HB Field Layout’s edible bunkers). Thanks to Debbie and Brit’s Dad for coming out and bringing us snacks and drinks!

Thanks to Destiny’s A+ (The 7-man squad’s the Destiny A Line. The girls there just practicing with us were known as “Destiny A+” which sounds so much better than calling a 2nd team “Destiny B”! We had a total of 12 girls playing at the practice, 5 of which are already on Destiny’s 7-man roster. Becky and Kim couldn’t make it out for this one since they live all the way on the western side of Canada (miss you Canadians!). Thanks to the fellas like Angel, Nick, and Nick for filling in for us. Even Rocky got in there on Sunday to help play alongside us to fill Kim’s shoes! Becky’s replacements was Nick, Breanna’s brother!

Thanks to the awesome Florida teams that played against us like Chillin’ Peppers, D3 Xball team Urban Assault (UA), and D2 team competing in HB, Reball Madness, who drove all the way from Miami (left at 530AM) to play with us at CFP. Speaking of CFP, Central Florida Paintball located in Lakeland, Florida, is a fantastic field that every tournament player should visit at least once in their life. With the beautiful weather in Florida during this time of year, CFP should be one of your stops if you’re into paintball and going to be going to Disney or MGM Studios anytime soon. CFP’s John, owner, THANK YOU. CFP is also home to Tampa Damage, new NXL team in 2008, and the SPCS (Southern Paintball Championship Series, Florida’s Premier Tournament Circuit). Saturday was a full day of paintball and after running drills in the morning and scrimmages in the afternoon, we weren’t done playing paintball for the day. We traveled about an hour away to Break 50 Paintball in Tarpon Springs for a night time 3-man tournament! We got there at 5, started playing at 6, and left at 1030PM! We’re not sure what place we came in, but we were so deliriously tired, it didn’t matter! (I think it was 2nd and 3rd since we put in Destiny A & Destiny A+ teams and even let the coaches rotate in with us. Man, it was so hard to see the paintballs flying in the dark! There was lighting, but if you’re not used to playing in the dark, it’s not exactly easy to see! All of us were laughing and just having such a good time off the field, Jackie and Breanna wanted to do some frolicking on the field, too! So, they decided to hold hands while they skipped to the tape corner. Seriously. They made it, too! Angie video-taped while sporting her Elvis Presley hairdo style. Stay tuned for the video’s link here at this site.

BIG THANKS to BOB Cartwright of Break 50 for waiting for our arrival to rotate us in the fun 3-man evening! We had a blast! We all finally got into bed at about 1-2AM to only get up 6 hours later to play more paintball at CFP the following day. We played a total of 12 7-man games on a layout that was pretty close to what we should expect at HB’s NPPL event at the end of this month.

You can see pictures and videos of last weekend’s practice by going to RICK MURRAY’s website at http://www.PAINTBALLStudio.COM! THANKS, RICK! You can also see more of Rick Murray’s photography in Paintball Sports Magazine starting in May’s issue when we cover the Southern Paintball Championship Series that’s always held at CFP.

We shot CHRONIC paint this past weekend during practice, too, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, ARCHON, for having supported this team since 2004!

We also had a chance to shoot our PINOKIO hoppers on SUNDAY!!!! Check out the video at YouTobe.com/BeaYoungs

TO those girls that tried out this past weekend, I’ll be giving you a call tomorrow (Tuesday) sometime! To those girls that came just to practice with us, THANK YOU for sharing your talent with us. If you’re a female player and would like to practice with us in the future, keep in touch with us at our MySpace.com/DestinyPB page and find out when our next practice will be, which is March 22-23, Easter weekend, in Southern California. We’re leaning towards Hollywood Sports Park in Bellflower, California, and as soon as it’s confirmed (which will be by the end of this week), we’ll post it right here at this site.

LOVE YOU ALL!
Sincerely,
Bea Youngs Paxson
